HYDCO International will be launching its HYDCO 1200H Exploration Drill Rig on Stand 1000 at the 2009 Queensland Resources Expo (QREX) trade exhibition at the Rockhampton Showgrounds from 21-23 July 2009.
The large multi-purpose exploration drill rig, featuring a 12 m mast when fully extended, is one of the show’s major outdoor exhibits.
The Australian designed and built HYDCO 1200H is designed by HYDCO’s design team in Perth and draws on the success of the company’s existing HYDCO 1000H.
The HYDCO 1000H was launched two years ago with five rigs currently operating in Western Australian mines.
These are regularly drilling to depths between 1000 m HQ with 1870 m NQ achieved in one hole in South Australia.
The new higher-capacity drill rig is rated at 1200 m HQ and the upgraded mast structure allows easy conversion for RC.
The HYDCO 1200H has a number of drill table options, from diamond drilling foot clamps through to open tables, suitable for running large-diameter casings.
It incorporates a two-speed floating spindle head with a further two speeds on the hydraulic drive motor allowing both RC (reverse circulation) and Diamond applications, while an FMC LO9 water pump also allows Directional Drilling applications.
HYDCO produces a number of drill rigs in both Diamond and RC format which are available in truck or track mounts with a variety of options to suit customer requirements.
