MACQUARIE Drilling announced it is nearing the completion of a major geotechnical drilling programme for the Sydney Metro Project.
The Australian company is a drilling contractor with national operations in the Site Investigation and Resources Drilling sectors.
Macquarie Drilling is the sole drilling contractor on the project, able to deploy a fleet of modern rigs for augering, diamond coring, packer testing and grouting operations.
The drilling programme has involved up to five rigs in the busy Sydney CBD, work on active major roadways, continuous shifts and over-water work on a sophisticated jack-up barge.
The company says that the operations were well supported from the Macquarie Drilling depot in Western Sydney.
