BARRA Resources and Joint Venture partner Fission Energy have resumed diamond drilling at their Mt Thirsty project, located in southern Western Australia.

According to Barra Resources, the program will focus on previously intersected drill zones which revealed disseminated and stringer nickel sulphides.

Barra Resources says it will begin with extending the depth of hole MTDD008 after hole MTDD011 drilled at shallower depths intersected the footwall contact indicating a modest easterly dip of 50 to 55 degrees.

“The exploration strategy is based on a geological model similar to basal lava channel embayment type structures observed at Kambalda,” Barra Resources says.
