ZINC Co Australia has made a new discovery of high grade stratabound manganese oxide at the Lockeridge Prospect in the Earaheedy Basin.

According to Zinc, the manganese oxide outcrops extend over four strike kilometres.

The outcrops have been interpreted to be the up dip edge of the same continuous stratigraphic interval which dips at 10 degrees into the Earaheedy Basin.

The company says it exploration target is a shallow open cut high grade manganese deposit with priority taken by the 75 strike kilometres of the prospective stratigraphy in the basin.
